it's the little things...

I have realized that it is the little things in life that make it great. I realize that my family and friends are what make life worth living and I am so blessed to have them around me.
Things that I love that make my life better:
  • Sitting around with Jeremy making fun of the cheesy grade B horror movies on SciFi.
  • Cuddling with Wyatt right after he has gotten up from a nap and still has sleepy eyes.
  • Spending a couple of hours after everyone has gone to sleep reading until I pass out.
  • Taking a day with my boys and just enjoying the little things that bring a smile to their faces.
  • Just taking a moment to enjoy the little things....

Baby #2 Update

So this past thursday marked the 3rd appointment for baby number two along with being Wyatt's 11 month birthday. Everything looked great so far. I have been feeling great which is a good thing since I still have Wyatt to look after as well. The baby's heart rate was 144. I am still thinking boy! Though with all the testosterone in the house, I kinda hope it isa girl! LOL... They made my appointment for the "Big" ultrasound to find out what this one is. It is March 10th at 3:00 pm. It seems so far away but I have a feeling the time is going to fly since it is so close to Wyatt's first birthday. We have a lot to do to prepare for that as well as school and things so it will come much sooner that expected (hopefully!).

My baby is 11 months old...

Our little boy is turned 11 months old this past Thursday! I can’t believe it. I can’t believe there are only a few weeks before the day he turns a year old. It is just insane that time passes so quickly and I am so glad that I have been able to mainly stay home with him this entire time, besides school, because it just has gone so fast.

He is changing so quickly and I see a little person with his own personality and way of expressing feelings. I keep thinking about how incredible the advances that these tiny human beings make during their first year. Just mere months ago this little guy was dependent upon me for everything he needed and now he is becoming such an independent little fart, but it brightens my day to see him discover the new things he can do and to watch his little face light up with his accomplishments.

Now, moving on, I am unsure exactly what his size is as he has not been measured lately but I would say that he is around 26 pounds or a little over, and around 31 inches. He is still in size 4 diapers and is mainly in 18 month clothing. He still takes around 3 naps a day; 2-2 hour and 1-1 hour and sleeps from around 7:30 to 8:00pm to 7:30 to 8:00am.

Milestones for month 10:
He is walking much better and is loving his little white leather walking shoes

He understands many words and learned many more this month including “Jace,” (our lab), “book,” “truck,” “Nana,” “Thank you aka dee doo,” and “dog”

He tries to mimic everything we say in his own way

He will clap his hands when we say “yay” or start the song “If you’re happy and you know it…”

Learned to drink from a straw

He can stand up from the floor

I am sure that I am forgetting some things!!

There are so many things that I love about this stage including his independence, the showing of his personality, and that he loves books! He will bring be books probably 5 or 6 times a day for me to read to him and if I am doing something else he will sit down and flip through the pages himself and sometimes will mumble like he is reading as he does it.

Happy 32nd Jeremy!!

Today is my amazing husband's 32nd birthday! He is my best friend in the entire world and I don't know what I would do without him. He is an absolutely amazing husband as well as a wonderful father. I am always in awe at how he is at Wyatt and how Wyatt's little face lights up when he comes home from work. I am so blessed to have him in my life and that I was lucky enough to become his wife. He works incredibly hard to make sure we have everything that we need. Now having my own son, I hope with all my heart that he grows up to be just like his Daddy!
