Our little boy is turned 11 months old this past Thursday! I can’t believe it. I can’t believe there are only a few weeks before the day he turns a year old. It is just insane that time passes so quickly and I am so glad that I have been able to mainly stay home with him this entire time, besides school, because it just has gone so fast.
He is changing so quickly and I see a little person with his own personality and way of expressing feelings. I keep thinking about how incredible the advances that these tiny human beings make during their first year. Just mere months ago this little guy was dependent upon me for everything he needed and now he is becoming such an independent little fart, but it brightens my day to see him discover the new things he can do and to watch his little face light up with his accomplishments.
Now, moving on, I am unsure exactly what his size is as he has not been measured lately but I would say that he is around 26 pounds or a little over, and around 31 inches. He is still in size 4 diapers and is mainly in 18 month clothing. He still takes around 3 naps a day; 2-2 hour and 1-1 hour and sleeps from around 7:30 to 8:00pm to 7:30 to 8:00am.
Milestones for month 10:
He is walking much better and is loving his little white leather walking shoes
He understands many words and learned many more this month including “Jace,” (our lab), “book,” “truck,” “Nana,” “Thank you aka dee doo,” and “dog”
He tries to mimic everything we say in his own way
He will clap his hands when we say “yay” or start the song “If you’re happy and you know it…”
Learned to drink from a straw
He can stand up from the floor
I am sure that I am forgetting some things!!
There are so many things that I love about this stage including his independence, the showing of his personality, and that he loves books! He will bring be books probably 5 or 6 times a day for me to read to him and if I am doing something else he will sit down and flip through the pages himself and sometimes will mumble like he is reading as he does it.
